You are by our side, Loving God, as we confront the complacent
and challenge the uncaring.
You remind us that our words matter, our approach matters, our example matters in the struggle with COVID-19.
You are with us, Loving God, as we refuse to go along with those who downplay
the seriousness of the pandemic.
You call us to heed the words of wise medical leaders,
and practise the ways that will keep our families and ourselves safe.

You are our friend, Loving God, as we follow the path of safety and carefulness.
You alert us to the need for vigilance as we are shown the easy but dangerous path.
You remind us that the right response is sometimes, “I’m sorry I can’t.”
Amen.
