40 Days 2024

The 40 Days offer opportunities to delve deeply into anti-racism work. A season with new content launches in the fall of 2024.

This year’s series features dynamic speakers, who will be offering live events each Tuesday between October 15 and November 26, 2024. Each event will be at 7:00 p.m. Eastern Time.

Several study groups will also accompany the live events, and will be a great way to explore the content more deeply—with a small group of learners and leaders!

There are many ways to participate this year:

  • Sign up for the new 40 Days Live Events for 2024 on CHURCHx.
  • Pick up an anti-racism book from the 40 Days collection at the United Church Bookstore. This year, there are more new books to explore. Use discount code 40DAYS to receive 15% off your purchase of 2 or more featured books. Plus, take advantage of our free shipping offer on orders over $100 with code FREESHIPPING.
  • Read the reflections that will be posted online.
  • Review recordings from previous year’s live events.
  • Sign up for the Anti-Racism newsletter. The newsletter will start going out in the fall of 2024.
  • Reflect on what you are doing as a result of engaging with 40 Days. Are there actions, commitments, or advocacy that you could still follow up on?

Many of the live events will be recorded and posted on the United Church’s YouTube channel.

You can be part of the 40 Days of Engagement on Anti-Racism at any time of year!

Please sign up for the Anti-Racism newsletter to continue to stay up to date!

“Our congregation discussed the 40 Days program, and so many great, appreciative comments and learnings were shared. Implicit bias was an important learning that many commented on. We appreciate all the contributions and are delighted each day with new insights, prayers, and activities. Thank you!”
