What does it mean to be inspired to speak, to fight for justice, and to celebrate our shared humanity—even when the struggle feels far from over? Watch Inzwirashe’s story and engage with this accompanying prayer.
Divine Creation in Diversity
Creating God,
Your Divine Creation never ceases,
and so we continually offer our prayers and gratitude to you.
We pray with lamentations for all the ways that we have marred your beautiful creation with human made systems of race and class.
May our tears water seeds of hope that you have scattered in every place.
May the beauty of what could be, encourage us.
We give thanks for the ways that your Creation inspires us
to celebrate for our shared humanity;
to fight for our shared dignity; and,
to honour past, present and future generations.
What you have created and what you are creating is good beyond measure,
in our anti-racism work, may we cherish your goodness in all of creation,
by respecting the diversity that you have and are creating,
practically with our words, thoughts and actions.
May it be so,
Amen
