Lent is the 40-day period (excluding Sundays) that begins on Ash Wednesday and ends on Holy Saturday. Traditionally it is a season of reflection and preparation for Easter, and it commemorates Jesus’ 40 days of fasting in the desert. You may want to read the United Church’s 2020 Lenten devotional, Faithfully Yours, during Lent 2020 for your own time of reflection.
