100 Tables: Whitehorse United Church

What did you do?

Because summer is a time that takes most church members and Whitehorsers in general out of town, we plan to host our table in February, during the Yukon Sourdough Rendezvous Festival, the annual and longstanding outdoor mid-winter festival that regularly features cancan dancers and chainsaw throwing. There is also a possibility that a United Church wasn’t established in Whitehorse until 1926—there seem to be conflicting sources on this—in which case 2026 will mark 100 years of United Church presence in the city.
