We have a partnership with the Walden Food Bank and plan to host a BBQ on June 26 which is one of their open days.

What did you do?
On Thursday June 26, 2025, we hosted a BBQ for the clients and volunteers at the Walden Food Bank. This was an opportunity to welcome the clients and volunteers to the table and celebrate the 100th anniversary of the United Church of Canada.
Trinity Lively through its Good Neighbours team has developed a partnership with the Walden Food Bank. Once a month the team, prepares 100 individual meals that are frozen and then distributed to the clients. This team also provide coffee, tea, hot chocolate or ice tea each week for the clients as they shop.
Why did you do it?
Trinity fees that just providing food items or funds is not enough. We need to make a connection with this community and also find a way to thank the dedicated volunteers of the Walden Food Bank.
