What did you do?
We purchased a picnic table with the gift card provided and set it up under a maple tree on church property behind a bus shelter. We've noticed that some people like to wait for the bus in the shade of the tree sitting on the grass. We thought it would be nice to offer a picnic table to make waiting more comfortable. The Sunday School is building a little free pantry to go beside the picnic table.
Why did you do it?
To help the community with food and a spot to rest and relax for a moment under the maple trees. If we can make someone's day a bit better and teach goodwill then we will have been successful.
