What did you do?

Our 100 Tables team, comprising of Leslie, Holly, and Julie, and assisted by Rob and Bruce, undertook this project earlier this summer. This story is the first we want to share. Our table reflects a “Being” of who we have and continue to be, and new ways for us to be and hopefully grow as a community of faith. Symbols of our faith, call, and service are evident as well as links to our community. While it is historical, it is also current with art representing our current nesting project with St. Mark’s. As the weather changes next year expect to see this table outside for our neighbours to enjoy. As we evolve as a community of faith, images on the table can and will change, but our faith remains.

Why did you do it?

We thought it was a wonderful way not only to celebrate our Centennial but also to illustrate to those who not only use our space for Sunday service but those who rent our facilities who we are. It is also offers a practical function of offering extra seats at church functions where refreshments are served.
