About Us
We are two churches who originally came together temporarily and we now realize we are better together. With our amalgamation this fall we will become Summit View United Church. Our table will be a place that celebrates community and caring for all people.
Located in northwest Calgary, we recognize the many partners who we share in ministry with - including the UCC Campus Ministry team at University of Calgary nearby. That's why we chose our drum circle and summer picnic night - in partnership with Campus Ministries - to finish our new table together and celebrate the message it offers the community.
Our Table
At Summit View United Church we believe in a God who is ever-creating and who has inspired us to celebrate that we are better together! We know that in our neighbourhood there is need for a place of community – to find safety, connection, help and support.
That’s why we themed our table around a rainbow that expresses joy and celebrates that everyone is welcome at the table – with a message from one of our favourite hymns “Draw the Circle Wide” - where all who come to the table can be part of shaping this inclusive, spiritual, growing community. This is God’s call for us.
