100 Tables: Knox United Church, Agincourt

What did you do?

Our table was placed on the walkway in front of Knox in mid-September. It is an incredible work of art by a member of our congregation. The concept began with our theme "Diverse in Culture ╬ United in Faith // 不 同 文 化 ╬ 共 同 信 念." 

Then we added flags of the countries where people have come from. Mexico, India, China, Hong Kong, Bermuda, Barbados, Antigua—about 12 to 15, I think. We believe every person who looks at the table can find at least one picture that touches them. It has been very low key. The table sat on the front walkway of Knox until the November snow when it was taken inside. It will be back outside in the spring.

Why did you do it?

We thought it would be an interesting project. We used the table in our recent stewardship brochure.
