Connection

What did you do?

The theme for our table was connection. We painted the table with hearts and added all sorts of quotations about love. We hosted an Affirm bookmark-making and book-reading afternoon, as well as a native plant garden tour of the church's own gardens. We have a sign posted by the table encouraging people to sit down, rest, and connect. Often one can see folks taking a break and having a rest, or eating their lunch.

Why did you do it?

Highlands did it because.... it was a GREAT United Church idea. How connective that picnic tables across the country held events hosted by United Church communities of faith? What's more connective than that?!
