What We Did
We painted our table with the colours of the rainbow to advertise that Trinity United Church is an Affirming ministry and we welcome all. We also used some of the paint to draw multi-coloured hearts on our sidewalk and parking lot. We want to bring joy to the neighbourhood with the vibrant colours. We placed our table near the church on the busy roadside, for it to be seen by all passersby.
Why We Did It
Because we are an Affirming ministry, we wanted a rainbow picnic table to physically show our public, explicit, and intentional commitment to inclusion.
