Gracious and Loving God,

On this International Women’s Day, we gather in gratitude for the gift of women—for mothers and daughters, sisters and friends, leaders and caregivers, teachers and healers, dreamers and builders.

Bless the women who have gone before us, whose sacrifices built the paths we travel today, and bless the young women who are finding their voices and discovering their purpose. May they know that they are wonderfully made, deeply valued, and held always in your loving care.

Compassionate God, we lift before you women who carry heavy burdens. Strengthen those who struggle in silence and sustain women whose labour and gifts are overlooked.

Comfort women who face loneliness, grief, poverty, or fear. Protect women and girls who live under the shadow of violence and injustice. Loving God, come move the hearts of nations and communities to create a world where dignity and safety are not privileges but rights shared by all. Give us the courage to challenge inequality and the wisdom to recognize the sacred worth in every person.

Loving Creator, bless the work of women who care for others—in homes and hospitals, classrooms and kitchens, offices and shelters, sanctuaries and streets. Renew their strength when they grow weary and fill their hearts with peace when worries weigh them down. Let them know that their work, whether seen or unseen, is precious in your sight.

We pray for women who are pioneers—those who dare to lead, to speak, to create, and to transform the world. May their dreams remain strong and their hope unshaken.

May our church be a place where women flourish, where their gifts are celebrated, and where their leadership reflects the fullness of your Spirit. May we travel together as equals in faith, serving you with humility and joy.

We offer this prayer with thanksgiving and hope, trusting that your love continues to work through the lives of every woman—shaping families, strengthening communities, and renewing the world.

We ask this in your holy name, amen.
