Description
February 27 - March 9, 2023 | Program Cost plus airfare | Adults (ages 18+) | Human Rights
The United Church of Canada invites United Church people interested in learning about human rights in the Philippines to consider registering for the Inter Faith Learning Tour being held in the Philippines February 27 - March 9, 2023.
This is a third party opportunity being organized by the International Coalition for Human Rights in the Philippines (ICHRP) and Mission and Service partner, the National Council of Churches in the Philippines (NCCP).
Their invitation reads, "This event will provide an opportunity for people of faith from across the globe to join us in solidarity with the people of the Philippines. ICHRP and NCCP invite you to witness the struggle of the Filipino people, and ensure that our global faith community continues to raise the struggle of the Filipino people to international fora, advocacy organizations, and most importantly international governments."
As in any opportunity we recommend registrants consult with the Government of Canada's travel advisories and health professionals in considering and preparing for such an opportunity.
Registration can be done directly using the ICHRP registration link. ICHRP is collecting a registration fee of $100 from registrants. Participants are responsible for the travel cost to Manila and the 10 days in-country program cost (approx $1875 CDN)
